At the invitation of the Supreme Executive Presidency, the General Secretariat, the High Commissioner-General, the Central Authority, diplomatic bodies, and the Human Rights Council in the boards of trustees of the World Ambassadors Organization and the International Diplomatic Council working in the European Union, an emergency open session was held since Tuesday, February 7, 2023 regarding support for the victims and those affected by the devastating earthquake Who struck Turkey and Syria.
Emergency sessions were held Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday on 8-9-10-11 February 2023 to discuss affairs, keep pace with logistical operations and humanitarian missions, and follow up on communications in order to work to raise the readiness for the bodies of the victims and transfer them to Adana airport to transport them to their countries and regions from western Turkey and northern Syria, in addition to work To investigate information and facts, to follow up on the file of recovering the missing, finding them, and returning them through Adana Airport to Lebanon and Syria.
Where the emergency session was chaired by His Excellency the Supreme Executive Chairman of the Boards of Trustees, Ambassador Dr. Ibrahim Al-Majzoub, with a speech in which he offered condolences and human solidarity to the Turkish and Syrian states, with the personalities of the two presidents of the republic and all the families of the victims.
He wished a speedy recovery for the wounded and directed his call to all international councils, humanitarian and human rights organizations and associations and all their member states to put differences aside and expedite immediately to send the necessary aid and equipment and collect donations and logistical, food, medical, technical and financial assistance to the Republic of Turkey and to the Syrian Arab Republic to provide relief to the affected and afflicted and to provide all available capabilities. of volunteers and rescue teams and facilitating their tasks. The Chief Executive Officer also stressed his call to all councils, organizations and participating countries for the necessity of cruelty and extension of working hours for the sake of the rescue operation for the victims and for the recovery of the remaining survivors and missing persons who are still under the rubble until now.
